All women’s all-mountain on-piste skis share a clearly noticeable and wider waist under the ski boot: 77 mm and wider. Women’s all-mountain skis therefore combine all the advantages of women’s all-round skis: predictable and stable edge grip, torsional stability and responsiveness, along with ski length and reinforcement layout adapted specifically to the female physique. The increased width and a more pronounced tip rocker add improved flotation, which becomes especially evident in all skiing conditions on the slopes — including fresh and soft newly fallen snow, softer and variable snow during warmer winter days or spring skiing — and also allow for a few enjoyable turns just outside the groomed piste.
Women’s all-mountain skis are designed for a wide range of skiers. The greater waist width allows for slightly slower and less aggressive edge-to-edge transitions, while at the same time providing increased stability and predictability at higher speeds. All-mountain skis generally feature slightly longer turn radii, enabling stable medium and long turns regardless of snow conditions or skill level. They support confident progression for less experienced and intermediate skiers, while advanced skiers will appreciate their stability and reliability at medium to high speeds. When seeking greater stability and improved flotation, women will typically choose slightly longer ski lengths. At the same time, we should not forget the importance of appealing aesthetics and premium design, which make these skis especially attractive.
