With Aero is everything, Specialized continues its famous Venge believes. Armed with a FreeFoil Shape Library of optimized shapes, they turned to the Win Tunnel to plug these shapes into a modular test bike, for more testing and validation. The result is a new Tarmac SL7 Expert that's faster than before. 33 seconds faster over 40 km than the Tarmac SL6. No compromises, just pure speed.

The geometry, based on countless Retül data points and professional rider input enables them to develop a Performance Road Geometry that perfects the combination of a responsive front-end and short wheelbase, which delivers instantaneous response and optimal power transfer. And while stiffness aids in the aforementioned, compliance must also be utilized for optimal ride quality. Tire clearance up to 32mm allows lower pressures for decreased rolling resistance, increased traction, and more comfort. Altogether, these additions still have the Tarmac riding like a true race-machine, but it also takes a bit of the sting out of road imperfections.

But why disc brakes? The real question is "why not?" They offer superior braking power and modulation, work exceptionally well in wet weather, and offer a very, very minor weight addition. All this means that you have more control and can go faster with more confidence.

The aerodynamic improvements are the most important thing to make you faster - therefore this Tarmac has a new fork shape and dropped seat stays with aero tubes. Tarmac SL7 comes with a no-fuss spec that includes SRAM Rival eTap AXS mechanical shifting, quick-stopping Rival hydraulic disc brakes, and Turbo Pro wheels.
