Ultra-agile through bends big and small, the Völkl Deacon 72 Black alpine skis can do everything on the piste. They give you the wings to take your cornering skills to the next level. Long, medium or crisp, short turns; cruising or skiing at the limits of speed; soft slopes or hard – if you’re ambitious about performance, look no further. The Deacon with the 72 mm waist was developed for people who like to carve quickly through every radius and sometimes really let rip.
The Deacon 72 Black has been reworked from the ground up. Diffrent geometry, a widened shovel and shortened tip and tail rocker bring out the best in turns of any radius. Two less millimetres at the waist allow you to switch edges even faster and with less effort. The sequence of short and long turns is amazingly simple and the maneuverability is simply incredible. Its versatility is magnified by Tailored Carbon Tips. Carbon fibres applied using Völkl’s exclusive Tailored Fibre Placement (TFP) process allow engineers to influence curve behaviour with great accuracy. The strength and alignment of the fibres define the force you need to apply and the energy that builds up where it’s needed. Agile shovel reaction is a feature of special note. This means that as soon as you initiate a turn, the ski begins to steer in a measured and controlled manner, depending on how the edges are employed. This construction also allows means less weight without any loss of stability. Last but not least, TFP allows our designers to tailor every length to the requirements of each target group. The pre-mounted rMotion3 with GripWalk compatibility provides the required power transfer.

- Multilayer woodcore with different densities of wood in a sandwich construction - The hardwood part immediately adjacent to the sidewall effects a higher power transmission, improves the edge grip and supports the edge against external forces. The low weight of the softwood part in the middle of the ski brings more agility and maneuverability and reduces overall ski weight. The combination of both wood types running through the entire ski length contributes to an optimal distribution of the ski stiffness increasing the 'pop' and steering precision.
- 3D.GLASS - Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the binding area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.
- Full sidewall - Direct and strong power transmission with full-length sidewalls.
- Full sidewall ABS - The specific synthetic substance of the entire sidewall enables a precise and direct power transfer.
- Full Titanal - The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic. Especially friends of a hard, fast and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.
- Tip&Tail Rocker - Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle
- Tailored Carbon Tips - Innovative shovel design with sewn-in fibers. The individual carbon fibers are embroidered onto a carrier material for a new level of precision, direct tip response and active skiing pleasure.
- Base P-Tex 4504 - A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on Völkl's top of the line and race models.
- Marker rMotion3 12.0 GW - Exclusive Marker Völkl plate-binding system for high class on-piste skis. For smooth & consistent drifting at moderate speed and tighter turns with less efforts at higher speeds.

Ta all around ali vsestranska smučka je: "ne tič , ne miš", pretrda za mehek ali južen sneg in preveč mehka za trda reberca ali ledene ploskve, sicer pa na normalni podlagi sorazmerno dobro vodljiva in smučka, ki tudi odpušča napake.
