What do you get when you give a crazy-smart, singletrack-obsessed development team virtually unlimited resources and tell them to make the fastest XC trail bike ever? Specialized Epic EVO. Start with the Epic front end, build an all-new rear end, swap the brain for a custom-tuned metric shock, and tune the geo for technical terrain capability. Ready, set, shred.
The heart of the Epic EVO chassis is super-light and super-stiff front triangle. For stability, Specialized designed a purpose-built rear end and removed Brain shox with Rx-tuned metric shock for more fun on your way. The EVO has 66.5-degree head angle and lower bottom bracket to keep things calm when the trail turns technical. For pedaling efficiency, the seat angle is 3/4 of a degree steeper than previous Epic and with the Flip-chip you can make it even steeper.
The build of the Epic EVO is value-packed, featuring a 12-speed Sram NX groupset, efficient Sram Level T brakes, alloy wheelset and an TranzX seatpost brings some much-needed drop for tackling steep descents, but it also features a zero-offset design that keeps your weight over the bottom bracket for the climbs...
So, get ready, with hardtail efficient and full suspension control your ride will become a more Epic kind of Epic.
