The Arcteryx Beta SL is that jacket you always keep in your backpack because you never know when the weather will flip. It’s the lightest in the Beta series and packs down incredibly small, yet once you put it on, you get full hardshell protection. Perfect for the mountains, ski touring, climbing, trekking, or simply for the valley when a storm hits. It’s made from the new GORE-TEX ePE membrane – a thinner, lighter and more eco-friendly version of GORE-TEX, free of PFAS chemicals, but still fully waterproof, windproof and durable enough for serious alpine use. Inside, the soft C-KNIT lining keeps it from feeling plasticky and stays comfortable even over a T-shirt. The hood fits over a helmet (ski touring, climbing, alpinism) while still maintaining great side visibility. Underarm vents prevent overheating on steep ascents, and the built-in RECCO reflector adds a safety layer you hope to never need, but are glad to have. Minimalism that doesn’t compromise on performance or versatility.
