Why do we recommend ski goggles to everyone?

Ski goggles are, just like a helmet, an essential part of ski equipment. A helmet protects your head, while goggles protect your eyes and part of your face. If the sun suddenly blinds you or your eyes start watering from the cold wind, you endanger both yourself and other skiers.

UV rays, which are even stronger at higher altitudes, are not healthy for your eyes either. That’s why it is smart to choose quality ski goggles that primarily provide protection and at the same time improve visibility in poor light conditions.

What should you pay attention to when choosing ski goggles?

When choosing snow goggles, pay special attention that they fit your face comfortably and are compatible with your helmet, fitting snugly without gaps.

Compatible goggles leave no space between the helmet and the frame, both on the forehead and at the sides.

Ski goggles also come in different sizes for smaller and larger faces. If you need goggles that you can wear over prescription glasses, choose OTG ski goggles (over the glasses).

Ski goggle lenses

Manufacturers offer countless different lens tints. There are lenses for bright sun, for skiing in fog, cloudy weather, and so on.

Before buying ski goggles, consider when and in what conditions you ski most often and whether you get additional lenses for various light conditions. To reduce glare, lenses can also be polarized.
