Product description

Splitboard set containing splitboard Salomon Highpath, bindings Spark R&D Arc ST, pucks and skins.

The Salomon Highpath Split is new to Salomon's line and focuses on high-performance all-terrain riding with a board made from sustainable and recycled materials.  It is on the harder side and works perfectly in combination with the Rock Out Camber. The Tapered Directional Shape is perfect for powder runs and carving turns on the slopes. This profile lets the tail sink in and thus lifts the nose out and provides stability at high speeds.
High-quality Plum splitboard equipment and perfectly cut Pomoca skins round off the overall package. This is a precise splitboard that delivers even in difficult conditions, a Directional with Taper and Quadratic Sidecut ensures agile handling in any terrain. The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is slightly wider than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain. The offset of the bindings in the direction of the tail (setback) makes the nose a little longer for even more uplift in powder. The Rock Out Camber profile is flat between the bindings for stability. The camber close to the feet increases control and a rocker on tip and tail offers a forgiving, playful feel. The medium-hard flex allows you to make precise turns while still ensuring a fun and comfortable ride through any terrain, but it really comes into its own on challenging lines. The sintered base, which is 100% recycled, is designed for super-fast gliding on any snow, from fresh powder to soft melt. Salomon increases the natural snap and pop of the wood core with a specially shaped Popster core profile. The top sheet is also made with sustainable castor bean, making it as environmentally friendly as possible. The components of the Ghost Green core have been selected and developed to optimize pop and reduce weight while at the same time utilizing the sustainable properties of super light paulownia wood. ABC Wrapper is a patented process in which a bamboo veneer reduces the proportion of fiberglass and synthetic resins in the board by 40 %. The classic ABS sidewalls are no more and have been replaced by waterproof bamboo canes.

Features:

  • Rock Out Camber, flat between your bindings for stability, Camber near the feet for response and a rocker on the tip/tail for pressability
  • Ghost Green Core - ghost Green Core components have been selected and designed to optimize pop and reduce weight while utilizing sustainable attributes of a super light wood
  • Popster - Maximising the natural snap and powerful pop of wood with a shaped core profile for ultimate ollies
  • Quadratic Sidecut - A blend of elliptic curves for easy turn initiation, effortless direction changes, and fluid edge-to-edge transitions
  • Tapered directional, tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turning initiation and improves floatation in deeper snow without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack
  • FSC wood core
  • PLUM hooks -PLUM hooks are specifically made for high-performance split boarding. Their asymmetric profile guarantees a perfect link between all the parts. They are light and easy to use
  • Custom POMOCA skins -Salomon provides custom skins and a specific bag that lets you fold the skin back in just a couple of seconds so you don’t have to struggle even when conditions are less than perfect
  • BA MD - Medium-density European-made fiberglass layers guarantee a consistent quality level, for light and lively boards
  • FSC certified woodcore
  • Edge finish - all mountain EB
  • Fine stone finish
  • 100% Recycled Sintered Base – Provides a moderate balance between the speed created by a hard surface and good wax retention
  • ABS - The molecular structure can be described as a concrete bar combining toughness for energy transfer and dampening properties for impact absorption
  • Castor Bean Topsheet - A sustainable alternative to petroleum-based products, bio-sourced Castor Bean is durable and eco-friendly
  • Dimensions: 298 - 252 - 295 mm (for lenght 156 cm)

Bindings: Spark Arc ST

The Women’s Spark R&D Arc ST (smooth touring) splitboard bindings has cutout baseplate design, medium flex Asym Rip 'N' Flip Highbacks, and a smaller ankle strap with a flex window combined to save valuable grams and deliver a surfy ride down. All Arc ST Bindings incorporate our industry-leading Tesla T1 technology. NEW Smooth Touring (ST) Tech is featured on our ST Brackets and ST Whammy Bars. These components utilize a proprietary thermoplastic blend that is molded over the metal part reducing friction, increasing durability, and improving touring efficiency.

Features:

  • Asym Rip 'N' Flip Highbacks NEW ST Asym Rip ‘N’ Flip Highback has a high amount of glass fiber fill for a stiff ride and maximum response. The Asym Highbacks have been redesigned in 22/23 and now feature individual left and right highbacks for improved ergonomics. The upper section of the highback is flatter allowing for increased lateral mobility. All Rip ‘N’ Flip highbacks incorporate a tool-free forward lean adjuster (FLAD) that easily toggles between tour and ride mode
  • ST Touring Brackets, incorporate the best features of aluminum and thermoplastics. We overmold our custom plastic blend over and through the holes in the aluminum base, forming bushings that last four times longer than their previous brass version
  • The ST Whammy Bar climbing wire is built right into the baseplate. Overmolded plastic where the bar contacts the baseplate allows for super-smooth climbing wire position changes in the steeps. You can switch easily from stowed, to low (12°), to high (18°), and back again while touring.
  • Pillow Line Straps are lightweight, durable, comfortable, waterproof, one-piece molded construction, and made 100% in-house. Surge ST Ankle Straps are wide and asymmetrical around the boot for incredible all-around support. Toe straps are designed to be used as a toe cap, but also fit nicely as a traditional strap across the top of the boot
  • Puck compatibility - Slide them on and snap the ramp down. Snap the ramp up and slide them off. The most functional way to attach your binding to your board is in ride mode. Period. Spark R&D bindings are designed to work with all puck-compatible splitboard models. Available in a flat and a 3° canted model
  • Tesla Snap Ramp, T1 System bindings slide sideways into the offset touring bracket and are locked into place with our snap ramp. No pins, no cables, no fiddle factor. Integrated Ibex crampon mounting claws on touring brackets make for quick and easy installation and removal
  • The T1 Heel Rest catches the climbing wire in the 12° and 18° positions and is specifically designed to hold the T1 Step Locker in place.
  • Ladders and adjusters are produced in-house with unique thermoplastics that maintain flex over a wide temperature range, performing well on spring tours as well as sub-zero suffer fests. All straps incorporate Burton's time-tested bomber buckles
  • Buckles & Plastics, ladders, and adjusters are produced in-house with unique thermoplastics that maintain flex over a wide temperature range, performing well on spring tours as well as sub-zero suffer fests. All straps incorporate Burton's time-tested bomber buckles
  • Every piece of this binding is made in-house with the exception of a few screws and buckles!
