Shimano brings single ring setups to SLX level with the M7000 chainring. It holds on to the chain thanks to the Dynamic Chain Engagement (DCE) technology that uses a broader and taller tooth profile in conjunction with a special hooked leading edge. Chainring increases chain retention force by 150%, drastically decreasing dropped chains over rough trails. The chainring is constructed from a 3D composite material for lightweight construction and the teeth are coated in stainless steel to ensure that they are long lasting and durable.
