After eight generations and more than two decades of development, it’s more than just the fastest Tarmac ever. Winning isn’t only about aero or low weight – what matters is how fast the bike is across all terrain. The Tarmac SL8 delivers with a blend of aerodynamic efficiency, light weight, stiffness and optimized compliance.
Specialized put aerodynamics where it matters most. The Speed Sniffer optimizes airflow and adds even more speed. By moving the head tube rearward, the leading edge becomes narrower and sharper, which significantly reduces drag. The Tarmac SL8 also features the narrowest and most aerodynamic seatpost, compliant with UCI rules, so air slips past you and the bike faster. It strikes the balance between the minimum weight allowed by the UCI and exceptional aerodynamics. The SL8 raises performance with an improved stiffness-to-weight ratio that’s 33% better than the SL7. Legendary handling, sharp responsiveness and proven geometry are now even more refined. It’s stiffer at the pedals, more precise at the bars and incredibly stable, yet surprisingly comfortable in the saddle. With Rider-First Engineering, every rider—regardless of frame size—gets the same ride quality and top-tier handling. The seatpost on the S-Works carbon post provides 6% more compliance, meaning a smoother feel and fewer vibrations on rough roads. Proven Tarmac geometry and 32 mm tire clearance add more versatility and easy adaptation to conditions.
Tarmac SL8 is built around a premium FACT 10r carbon frame and equipped with: a SRAM Force AXS groupset with a power meter, Roval Rapide CL III wheels ready to run tubeless, Roval Rapide integrated cockpit that reduces weight and improves aerodynamics.
