Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR tire delivers enhanced performance with even lower weight, higher speed, and reinforced sidewalls. Designed for tubeless systems, it enables faster, more comfortable, and safer riding. Compared to its predecessor, the 5000 S TR features two fabric layers under the tread instead of three, which reduces rolling resistance and improves the tire’s adaptability to the road. The outer layer is made of BlackChili rubber compound, which enhances handling at extreme lean angles, provides exceptional grip on wet surfaces, and maintains a low rolling resistance. A special rubber formula protects the tire from wear and damage, extending its lifespan. For additional puncture protection, the tire features a Vectran layer, made from liquid crystal fibers. This material is highly elastic, resistant to cuts and mechanical damage, and retains its effectiveness even under continuous load. The tire also features Lazer Grip technology, which increases traction on all surfaces, and the Active Comfort system, which reduces vibrations and enhances comfort during long rides.
