New Roval Rapide CLX III wheels rewrite the rules of the game. They combine aerodynamics, ultra-low weight, and incredible stiffness so you can ride faster and with more control on any road. The deep front profile slices through the air where it matters most, while the lower rear profile reduces weight and delivers explosive acceleration and precise handling in corners and sprints. The complete wheelset weighs just 1,305 g, which is 215 g less than the previous generation.
At the heart of the upgrade are the new Roval Aero Composite carbon spokes, which are both 63% stronger and noticeably lighter. The result is a wheel that doesn’t flex even in the hardest sprints, yet stays lively and responsive. When crosswinds pick up, Rapide CLX III remains calm. They’re engineered to stay the fastest in real-world conditions from 0° to ±14° yaw. That means you can stay in an aero position longer, hold the perfect line, and save watts. For worry-free riding, FlatStop Bead Hooks spread impact forces and require 39% more force to cause a flat. The wheels are hand-built from carbon, have an internal width of 21 mm, are optimized for 28 mm tires, and are ready for tubeless or standard tubes. Disc brakes (Center Lock) deliver precise stopping power, while Roval Low Flange hubs with DT SINC ceramic bearings provide exceptionally smooth rolling and efficient power transfer. Spokes are laced in a 2:1 pattern (18 front, 24 rear) for added stiffness and stability. Roval Rapide CLX III are ready for the biggest challenges. They carry official UCI approval and easily handle high pressures (up to 110 psi tubeless and 130 psi with tubes).
