Arcteryx Alpha is a jacket built for the days in the mountains when you know the terrain will be serious and the weather can turn in minutes. It’s not made for city walks, but for ice climbing, alpine missions, ridge traverses, and every situation where you need gear you can trust 100%. Protection comes from the GORE-TEX PRO ePE membrane – the highest-performance GORE-TEX available: fully waterproof, windproof, highly breathable and free from PFAS chemicals. The outer 50D Hadron fabric keeps the jacket lightweight but extremely abrasion-resistant against rock, ice tools or backpack straps.
The cut is designed for climbing: high-placed pockets that stay accessible while wearing a harness, articulated sleeves for full mobility, and a hem that stays in place even when you raise your arms. The hood is helmet-compatible, the zippers are 100% waterproof, and the whole jacket remains surprisingly light and packable. The new version adds a large internal dump pocket for gloves, a hidden RECCO® reflector for emergency search, and an internal security pocket for phone or documents. This is a jacket for those who want maximum reliability, minimum weight, zero compromise.
