A 50% Glass filled nylon chassis is surrounded with castor-bean based materials, with a goal of reducing the size of a binding’s carbon footprint. By utilizing eco-conscious and recycled materials instead of plastics and EVA, wK2 has made significant strides in sustainability. Their manufacturing process relies on over 40% solar-powered energy, and their packaging is FSC certified, utilizing cardboard and recycled paper instead of plastics.
The result are impressive reductions in carbon footprint:
- The Program binding uses ~40% Bio-based material by volume and ~25% by weight.
