The Andrej's Stritar guide to Gore nad Sočo, which is dedicated to one of the wildest and perhaps most beautiful areas of the Julian Alps, is the work of Andrej Stritar, an expert in the area and the author of best-selling guides such as 111 trips through the Slovenian mountains and With children in the mountains.

The third, updated edition describes 60 selected destinations in the Soča basin from Tolmin upwards, ranging in difficulty from easier valley trips along the river and to waterfalls to very demanding tours and off-road trails.

Most of the described tours belong to the medium difficulty class, but there are also some challenging off-road routes and three multi-day high-speed crossings, which, due to the severity of the mountain environment, require experienced and well-prepared climbers.

The book is suitable for more serious mountain tours, occasional trips, or an idea of where to go and spend the weekend.
