The Shimano Deore XT chainring SM-CRM85 is a 4-arm chainring that holds the chain safely even on rough terrain and guarantees  an efficient, smooth and quiet drivetrain at the same time thanks to its Dynamic Chain Engagement+ tooth profile. It is a special gear teeth profile designed for use in 1-speed chainring configurations for XC, Enduro and Trail Riding. It gives more chain retention and smoother pedaling - even over bumpy terrain. Chain retention of any gear will reduce abrasion and worn out. The Direct Mount system enables a quick chainring installation possible and the stainless steel chainring teeth provide long life and lasting chain retention, mile after mile.
