Specialized Mountain bike Chisel Comp 2025 gloss ion
Product description
Specialized Chisel is an exceptionally lightweight and capable XC bike, lighter than most of its direct competitors and sharing its geometry and kinematics with the legendary Epic. It is designed to excel both in XC racing and during fast rides on local trails. Chisel features the lightest aluminum XC frame in its class. The D’Aluisio Smartweld M5 aluminum frame is precisely engineered for the optimal balance of stiffness, comfort, and efficiency, resulting in excellent control and responsiveness on the trail. Suspension developed under the Ride Dynamics philosophy is directly derived from the Epic 8, allowing Chisel to confidently handle varied XC terrain—from fast gravel sections to technical roots and rocks. The bike geometry is optimized for XC riding: a steep seat tube angle places the rider in an efficient pedaling position, while advanced anti-squat technology reduces pedal bob and increases power efficiency.
The Specialized Chisel Comp comes equipped with a RockShox SID fork with 120 mm of travel and a RockShox Deluxe Select+ rear shock, offering rebound adjustment and terrain-tuned performance. The suspension is custom tuned to deliver an excellent balance of efficiency and control. Reliable stopping power is provided by SRAM 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes, while the 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain ensures precise, simple, and durable shifting. Specialized 29" aluminum wheels are lightweight yet robust enough for more aggressive riding, and the TranzX dropper seatpost adds extra control and confidence on descents.

After a few months of considering which XC bike to buy, the specialized chisel turned out to be the best value. It's playful, light, Sram gx shifts great. Highly recommended.
