Roval Rapide CL III – speed you can trust. The all-new Roval Rapide CL III wheelset is a direct descendant of the prestigious CLX III model, but with an aerodynamic twist that rewrites the rules. A deep 51 mm front rim boosts aerodynamic performance right where it matters most – against the wind. A lower 48 mm rear rim reduces rotational weight and enhances handling, enabling quicker acceleration and better control through corners.
The rims are made from carbon, feature a 21 mm internal width, and are optimized for 28 mm tires. They are tubeless-ready and compatible with both tubeless and tube-type clincher tires. Of course, they're also disc brake compatible (Center Lock). The wheels are built with DT Swiss 350 EXP hubs featuring a 36T ratchet system for fast and precise power transfer, along with stainless steel bearings for smooth, long-lasting performance. Spoke setup: 18 spokes front, 24 rear, laced in a 2:1 pattern using durable DT Swiss Competition Race straight-pull spokes. The added protection of FlatStop bead hooks offers up to 39% greater puncture resistance, meaning fewer worries out on the road. Total wheelset weight is just 1,555 g (716 g front, 839 g rear, including tape and valves). The set is UCI-approved, also suitable for e-bikes up to 350 W, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Each wheel is hand-built and includes spare spokes and nipples for easy servicing.
